Cedar wood requires proper maintenance to ensure it maintains its overall appearance. If the cedar is allowed to weather too much it can show signs of staining, and allowed to deteriorate further begins to peel and rot. Once these conditions are allowed to occur then either coating, or full stripping and re-coating, is required.
